Reflective Construction Law was founded in 2018. It has now grown to a team of over six specialists, with a strong community of clients and other professionals that work together to deliver successful outcomes.

Arie Moore, Director

Arie is the founder of Reflective Construction Law and a specialist construction and projects lawyer. He advises clients on both the development and procurement of projects as well as resolving disputes that may arise during construction.

Arie is focussed on ensuring we continue to deliver seamless advice that reflects our clients needs, and is focussed on supporting our clients to grow in a sustainable way.

Arie can help with your construction project at the early stage of the procurement process, particularly alternative or complex procurement models such as design-and-build and early contractor involvement (ECI) contracts.

He can also work with you to develop strategies for negotiations and any disputes during projects, including around delay, disruption, and variations. In addition to early strategy advice, Arie regularly acts for clients in adjudication proceedings, negotiations, and mediation.

 

SAM McCutcheon, Associate Director

Sam is an Associate Director at Reflective Construction Law. Sam has worked in New Zealand and the United Kingdom and specialises in providing clients with practical and pragmatic advice on a wide range of matters.

With an extensive commercial background Sam appreciates the commercial drivers in any given project and will work with you to achieve the best outcome. Sam is able to advise on all stages of a project, from procurement strategies all the way through to resolution of any disagreements that may arise.

In addition to construction, Sam has experience helping clients negotiate and agree development agreements, contracts relating to telecommunications infrastructure and general commercial contracts.

 

Theo Robinson, Solicitor

Theo is a solicitor at Reflective Construction Law. After starting with us in 2020, Theo has gained a variety of experience around construction and commercial law, including contract procurement, tendering, payment security, and disputes.

Since being admitted in 2021, Theo frequently provides advice to clients around contract reviews, drafting, and helping with the preparation of evidence and submissions.

 

Cathy Hu, Solicitor

Cathy joined Reflective Construction Law in January 2023 and was admitted as a Solicitor in December 2023. After starting with us, Cathy has assisted with a variety of matters in construction and commercial law, including contract reviewing, tendering, negotiations, and disputes.

Cathy is also a native Mandarin speaker.

 

George Wietzke, Solicitor

George joined Reflective Construction Law as a Solicitor in February 2024. After completing legal study George spent several years in the construction industry, gaining a carpentry qualification and working in coordination and management of commercial construction projects. He has developed a wide-ranging technical and commercial understanding of the construction industry and its specialised needs.

Combining this experience George is focused on offering a unique perspective that recognises the need for practical and actionable legal advice at all stages of construction and development.

 

Becky Michael, Law Graduate

Becky joined Reflective Construction Law in November 2022 and worked as a Law Clerk whilst completing her studies.

Since completing her LLB and BA in November 2023, Becky works as a Law Graduate. She frequently assists with legal research and client tasks.

 

Kiera Seyb, Ralph Zambrano, Law Clerks

Kiera and Ralph are Law Clerk’s with Reflective Construction Law, providing assistance with research, admin and client tasks as required while completing their legal studies.
